MindScapes Academy is building a reputation for community involvement. For the past 16 months, MindScapes has offered educational classes which integrate technology with the goals people commonly hope to achieve:  learning how to create a video to chronicle family history; how to self-publish books which display what we’ve learned and experienced; how to properly prepare for a specific standardized test; how to effectively operate a digital camera, or how to build and program a robot.  MindScapes has entertained and educated groups of USD 259 middle school students via the YMCA after-school program, hosted Collegiate summer-school TIPS students, hosted exhibits by local high school, and professional, artists, and enhanced literacy at Dodge Elementary.

Effective September 1, 2008, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, MindScapes Academy is committed to continuing many of those activities.  We are currently following a very successful Spring and Summer at The Independent School with a variety of Fall courses.  These after-school classes are designed for Independent School students interested in educational enrichment, and will complement the rigorous curriculum that the Independent School offers.
